About

At the core of my creative philosophy is the belief that art, nature, and purposeful work are interconnected forces that provide a promise of a happier relationship with the world. Drawing inspiration from the writings of John Ruskin, I view art as a means of discovering and expressing one’s unique truth.

As an artist, I value craftsmanship, tactile experiences, and the beauty found in imperfection. Through the practice of drawing and linocut printmaking, I learn not only to express what I see in reality, but also, and more importantly: to add a layer of imagination, crafting pieces that speak to both the mind and soul. To me, this is the primary mission of an artist.

As a drawing teacher, I provide personalised guidance and tools, fostering creativity and self-expression in all who seek it. I want to help you grow and understand the source of the obstacles your mind creates for you in the practice of drawing and designing. My goal is to help you discover the way of creating art that truly reflects you, brings you enjoyment and helps you to broaden your perception of the world.

Becoming an entrepreneur is a new chapter in my professional development and a promise of creative freedom. Let’s embark on that journey together and see where it takes us!

With love,

Kaya

The beauty of the process

Some milestones from my creative journey. Sketching is a physical trace of thought. Process sketches are the ones I am the most proud of. That moment when all comes together. Yasss!

Views on the design practice

Through my experience in studying, practicing and teaching architecture, I came up with a framework to depict the creative process in design. The nature of this model is applicable to other design domains, as I challenged it in practice.

Theoretical assumptions:

  1. A design is a result of creating a working relationship between the three elements: concept, product and research.

  1. Developments in each of the fields should be conducted separately, as well as in relation to each other (synergy).

  2. The design process can be brought down to a number of iterations that strengthen the relationships between these elements in time. The more iterations throughout the process, the more saturated the design. Over time, the design becomes more rich: physically, conceptually and in relation to an initial need for design.

If you have some experience with designing, I am curious to hear what is your experience. Do you agree?
