Do you like drawing but feel afraid that your skills are not enough yet? Learn how to pick up your passion with kindness.

Drawing is a way of establishing a relationship with the world through the art of observation. In essence, it is truly about what you see rather than what you think is in front of you. In a way, it is a search for truth.

Drawing is a way to experience the world, but also a fantastic tool to get to know yourself. It can help you to connect to the physical world as a form of mindfulness.

Hand-drawn sketches and notes featuring stars, abstract shapes, and words like 'complexity' and 'dramatic sky' on a whiteboard.

A fact.

Everyone can learn how to draw.

Each one of us has a creative element in them. It is your unique perception, that wants to be expressed on paper.

The method.

The only way to learn is through practice. The quickest way to learn is to face your creative insecurities while being kind to yourself. Individual approach is key.

  • Online! I will prepare a miro board for you where you can access materials and theory and upload the scan of your homework. You will also see my screen where I can draw things with you.

Or in person, in the area of Den Bosch, Eindhoven and Utrecht.

    • 20 min. introduction online call on learning objectives FREE

    • single lesson 1h: €35

    • 8 online lessons 1h: €245 (1 meeting free)

    • in-person 1,5h: €45

  • In designing the classes, I base largely on the book of Betty Edwards “Drawing with the Right Side of the Brain”. Additionally, both in my teaching practice and in my artistic endeavours, I am inspired by the writings of John Ruskin: a theorist, passionate about drawing, art and architecture.

In the lessons, I allow myself to experiment a lot with short exercises that will show you how your brain is trying to “trick you” when you draw. Longer exercises, which require focus and ask for some self-quality time, are left for homework. This is when you will practice what you have learned in the session.

  • I am always open to discussions on art, perception and science in the context of drawing. As an experienced designer, passionate (academic) teacher and a beginning artist, my head is full of references and books I can share with you. Get inspired by our conversations!
